Abhijit Muhurat and its Importance :
It is an established fact that success in any work entirely depends
upon the auspicious moment at which it is commenced. Muhurat is that
favorable time in which the ethereal currents, liberated from the
planets at that particular moment, will work in the minds of others and
make them help the person to attain success.
According to
Indian Astrology, Muhurta is the most propitious moment for performing
an important event or activity during a particular day. Great
Astrologers and intellectuals have developed a complete electional
Astrology that guides us the influences contained in the time that are
well disposed or ill disposed and select the suitable moment for various
events or activities. We call such auspicious moments of the day as
shubh lagna and inauspicious moments as Ashubh Lagna.
Abhijit Muhurta is the muhurta based on the position of the Sun. It
varies from place to place. It is calculated on the basis of the
sunrise and sun set in that particular city. Abhijit word itself means
victorious. so Abhijit Muhurta is the timing at which the event or
activity initiated will make the native victorious. It is ideal Muhurat
to initiate any activity except marriage or Upnayan.
The
Abhijit Muhurat becomes more sacred and powerful if it is during shukla
paksh, and the day that has other beneficial yogas. This Muhurta has no
dependance on Tithi, Nakshatra, Rasi or month. This Muhurta is present
on everyday and its duration is around 48 minutes.
The calculation
of the Abhijit Muhurat can be done even by a layman. He just need to
know the time of Sunrise and Sunset of that place where event has to
occur. normally it is -24 minutes from lunar Noon time till +24 minutes
after lunar time. for example, suppose the sunrise on a particular day
is at 6:00 and the Sunset is at 19:00 then the formula for calculating
the duration of Abhijit Muhurta is [(sunset-sunrise)/12 ]X 48. now
putting the values, [(18-6)/12]X48 = 12/12X48 = 48 mins. now, the Lunar
noon time is the mid time of the Sunrise and Sunset. hence, in this case
the mid time is 12 noon so the 48 minutes of Abhijit Muhurata is 24
minutes before 12 i.e. 11:36 am to 24 minutes after 12 i.e. 12:24.Thus
the abhijit Muhurat is from 11:36AM to 12:24PM for that particular day
and particular pl
It is believed that, this Muhurat has
special blessings of Lord Vishnu. Also, during this Muhurat only Lord
shiva killed the powerful demon Tripurasura.
for Laymen, who
are unable to go in the intricacies of the panchang can initiate there
important events or activities during the Abhijit Muhurat.
The
Astrological aspect behind the Abhijit Muhurta is that, this the time
when the Sun locates himself in the 10th house from the lagna during
that time and 10th represents the house of Karmas, and placement of the
Sun means success.
